I started as a bright student from an ordinary school in Guwahati. Always used to have doubt about my potential as i was from an ordinary school. But, as people say quality does not depend upon school; it depends upon the student and knowledge he gain from his teacher.
And, that’s how I made a difference – From an ordinary school; to one of the best high school in Guwahati and finally making it to one of the top college in the country. And, from a C.A. Student to an Entrepreneur.

The Journey from an Ordinary School to an Extraordinary Path
Growing up in an ordinary school in Guwahati, I often doubted my potential. However, I strongly believe that quality education is not defined by the school but by the knowledge a student gains from their mentors. This belief propelled me forward—from an ordinary school to one of the best high schools in Guwahati, and ultimately, to one of India’s top colleges. I was honored with the Best Student Award in the Commerce Stream at Mithibai College, Mumbai.
Though many envisioned me as a top executive in a multinational corporation, my aspirations were different. I wanted to contribute to my country—not just through traditional means but by creating opportunities in the commercial sector, fostering economic growth, and enabling social development.
Early Entrepreneurial Ventures
My entrepreneurial journey began in 9th standard, when I worked as a distributor for a travel agency with a school friend. Post-matriculation, I pursued commerce and co-founded a travel agency and cosmetics store at the end of my junior college years. However, managing business alongside academics was challenging, leading me to choose Chartered Accountancy as my professional path.
The Turning Point – Choosing Business Over CA
While pursuing graduation at Mithibai College, Mumbai, I cleared CA Inter (IPCC) on my first attempt. However, life took an unexpected turn when my professor, Sonali Chatterjee Ma’am, introduced me to an entrepreneurship competition at SVKM’s NMIMS – Chancellor Challenge. I participated with my idea of Vertical Farming, which sparked a new realization—I was sailing on two boats: CA and Business.
Realizing my true calling, I decided to postpone my CA journey and dedicated my second year of graduation to various entrepreneurial and leadership roles. I became actively involved in Mithibai’s Entrepreneurship Cell, Economic Transcript, and Economic Forum Committee, taking charge of the Digital Department and planning various projects.
Building Businesses & Creating Impact
In my final year, along with my school friends Tosakdar, Shiv, I launched qctrip.in, a discounted travel booking platform aimed at making hidden travel benefits accessible to the public. Since then, I have been relentlessly working towards creating businesses that empower people and help them unlock their real potential.
Currently, I am the growing QC BizTech Solutions – an IT Firm focused on providing budgeted Digital Services to empower MSMEs grow in the digital world. And WhatsDeal, a social commerce platform set to launch soon, revolutionizing the way people buy, sell, and interact in the digital marketplace.
